Plaintiff brought this suit because of the writing of a certain letter attributable to both defendants, written to the director of a junior college, the employer of plaintiff. As claimed by plaintiff, the letter imputes dishonesty to plaintiff, is libelous per se, and was presumably prompted by malice.
