Elgin Bauman was convicted in the Circuit Court of Carter County (on change of venue from Shannon County) of the felony of obtaining money by false pretenses, Section 561.370 RSMo 1949, V.A.M.S., sentenced to imprisonment for a term of two years and one day, and by appeal he has brought the case to this court for review.
