This is a trespass to try title suit. Parties will be referred to as in the Trial Court. Plaintiff Daugherty filed suit against defendant Hughes in trespass to try title to approximately 6 acres of land in Hidalgo County. Defendant pleaded not guilty and pleaded a contract for purchase of the property and prayed for a specific performance of such contract.
