This is an action for damages for personal injuries sustained by plaintiff on March 16, 1952, when an elevator in which she was riding as a passenger fell to the basement of the William Penn Hotel in San Diego. Defendants Sam Zemen, Max Zemen and Sophie Zemen, copartners, operated the hotel as lessees. Defendant William H.
