Judgment reversed and a new trial granted, with costs to abide the event, unless plaintiff stipulate, within ten days after the entry of the order hereon, to reduce the verdict to a total of $1,000, with interest from November 30, 1948, in which event the judgment, as so reduced, is affirmed, with costs to respondent.
