The action was brought to recover for goods sold and delivered in the amount of $1,419.50, against which a credit of $409 was allowed for partial payment and $714.84 for merchandise returned, leaving a balance of $295.66. It appeared from the affirmative defense pleaded in the verified answer of the defendant Canfield that an air conditioner, the sale price of which was $894.80, had been returned. The plaintiff had allowed the defendants a credit of only $714.84 for the air...
