The decedent, sixty-two years of age, worked as a laborer for the employer who was engaged in general contracting business in New York City. On November 6, 1950, the decedent, working on a job at Grand Central Terminal, was required to load bags of cement, bricks and sand on a wheelbarrow at the street level and haul the materials down a ramp to the job site on the level below the street.
