Lafferty, plaintiff, engaged in the advertising business in the city of Grand Rapids, had periodically over a number of years performed advertising services for the laundry and dry cleaning business of Herbert W. Cole, defendant. Defendant paid all the direct advertising expenses and plaintiff made a flat monthly charge for his services in the preparation of copy, et cetera.
