Plaintiff-respondent Hawaiian Pineapple Company, which was engaged in canning peaches in 1951 in its San Jose plant, contracted with defendant-appellant Eckert Engineering Corporation to store certain ripe peaches under refrigeration in appellant's cold storage plant at Manteca.
