These defendants were jointly charged with robbery. In the first count it was charged that on April 9, 1953, they took $90 from Jesus Carrillo by force and fear. The second count charged them with taking $50.50 from Demetrio Avina by force and fear. As to each count it was charged that they were armed with a deadly weapon, a .22 rifle and a 20-gauge shotgun.
