BLUME, Chief Justice.

In this case the defendant was accused of murder in the first degree for killing her new-born child. She was convicted by a jury of manslaughter. The jury added to the verdict a recommendation of a minimum sentence. The court sentenced her to prison for the minimum period of two years and the maximum period of four years.
