This was an appeal to Chatham Superior Court from the Court of Ordinary, involving the application of Velma Nelson Purdy to probate the will of Agnes Doyle in solemn form, to which Margaret Doyle Bodeker filed her caveat. At the time the case went to trial before the jury, the caveat was based solely on the ground of mental incapacity of the testatrix to make a will.
