Plaintiff alleges that he is entitled to recover the sum of $48,242.23 with interest on this amount from June 29, 1950, on the ground that he has an attorney's lien against an award made by the Appeal Board, Office of Contract Settlement, to plaintiff's client, the West Side Iron Works (hereinafter sometimes referred to as West Side).
