Plaintiff Annie Mary White and her husband, Haywood White, acquired title by the entireties, in 1944, to property located in Royal Oak township, Oakland county, Michigan. On December 17, 1948, they borrowed $1,250 from defendants Henry Burkhardt and Eleanor Burkhardt, his wife, to whom they gave their promissory note with a mortgage on the Royal Oak property as security.
