These proceedings involve deficiencies in income tax of Hyman Friednash and his wife Geneva for 1944 in the respective amounts of $25,554.41 and $18,845.41. The issues involved are the amount of the deduction allowable for compensation to Henry Friednash, brother of Hyman Friednash, for managing a restaurant and bar belonging to petitioners, and whether in any event the deduction of a portion of such compensation is prohibited...
