This libel in personam was filed by Continental Casualty Company, as subrogee of Atlantic and Gulf Stevedores, Inc. against Thorden Line, a Swedish corporation, and Ove Skou owner of the S/S Benny Skou, to recover damages for the death of James Bright, Jr., an employee of Stevedores, while engaged in stevedoring operations on board the ship on September 6, 1947 at Portsmouth, Virginia.
