Raymond Hopson is plaintiff and Gulf Oil Corporation is defendant in this cause.

On April 6, 1946, plaintiff was upon a vessel, the Gulf of Mexico, which was owned and operated by defendant, and which was then upon the high seas on a voyage between two Atlantic coastal ports of the United States.
