Plaintiff sued the defendant Bank of Lansing to recover $1,000 which plaintiff's assignor bank had paid out to the defendant bank on a check which subsequently was found to have been forged. After issue was joined, and before trial, Don McCullagh was added as a party defendant. The case was heard by Judge Charles H.
