The petitioner was convicted of automobile banditry and forgery on November 3, 1947, in the Circuit Court of Jackson County. He was sentenced on the two counts to serve concurrent terms of ten years and two-to-fourteen years, respectively. Since that time he has been confined in the custody of the respondent Warden of Indiana State Prison.
