Plaintiff brings this suit under the Federal Tort Claims Act, 28 U.S.C.A. § 921 et seq., to recover for the death of her husband killed in an automobile accident on February 13, 1947. The complaint alleges, and the undisputed evidence shows, that early in the morning on said date plaintiff's decedent was operating a large motor truck in an easterly direction on U. S.
