Memorandum Findings of Fact and Opinion

HARLAN, Judge:

These cases were consolidated for trial. They involve deficiencies in income tax liability for the taxable year ended December 31, 1941, as follows:

  Henry G. Bender.......  $3,088.53
  Clair C. Loudon.......   2,189.24

These taxpayers filed their income tax returns with the collector of internal revenue for the 18th district of Ohio at Cleveland.
