McLAUGHLIN, Judge.
This is a suit in personam under the Carriage of Goods by Sea Act, 46 U.S.C.A. § 1300 et seq. It was originally instituted against the Matson Navigation Company but by amendment the United States was later made a party respondent. Upon exceptions the suit was dismissed against the United States as not having been brought against it within the time limited by statute. 46 U.S.C.A. § 1303(6);
