On the afternoon of December 5, 1942 the fishing boats, Racketeer and Gertrude, were moored alongside the wharf of the Riverside Packing Company, Inc., at Berwick, Louisiana. This wharf is located on the west side of Berwick Bay immediately south of the Southern Pacific Railroad bridge.
