This case involves the ownership of all mineral rights to 209 acres of land in Martin County, Kentucky. Both the plaintiff and defendants ask that their title to these mineral rights be quieted.

In 1874 Isaac Maynard, Sr., became the owner in fee simple of the land in question. It was a part of a purchase of between 300 and 600 acres. On April 14, 1888, he conveyed this land to his two sons, Jesse Maynard and William Riley Maynard...
