On February 20, 1937, James Supko, while in the employ of the McCarthy Stevedoring Corporation, was struck by several pieces of iron pipe which fell on him while he was working in the hold of a ship. As a result of this accident he was confined to a hospital for two months and suffered disability thereafter.
