Boone, was indicted, convicted and fined $7,500 upon six counts in each of which it was alleged that he did "knowingly and wilfully solicit, accept and receive" from the Illinois Central Railroad Company, a common carrier, "a rebate" in a sum stated "in respect to the transportation" of property in interstate commerce "whereby such property was transported * * * at a rate and charge less" by the sum so stated "than the rate...
