These are motions to quash an indictment charging the defendant Schmidt with infringing certain copyrights and the defendant Santangelo with aiding and abetting Schmidt to infringe.

The indictment contains four similar counts, each charging infringement of a different copyright. The first count charges "that heretofore, to wit, on or about November 1, 1936, and on divers dates prior heretofore, the exact dates being to your Grand Jurors...
