H. C. Dawes, Jr., the plaintiff in this case, was insured for the term of one year against loss or damage by fire on eleven automobile trucks under a policy of insurance issued to him by the Continental Insurance Company of New York. On February 8, 1930, six of the trucks which were listed in the policy as having a value of $6,600 were completely destroyed by fire.
