In this case the two individual bankrupts, E. Aranoff and Jack Aranoff, claimed the statutory homestead exemption to the extent of $1,600 each. The trustee in bankruptcy sold all of the assets of the bankrupts and set aside $1,600 in cash for each of them. Exceptions to the allowance of these homesteads were filed by five creditors, George De Witt Shoe Company, Commander Shirt Company, American Raincoat Company, Red Wing Shoe Company, and...
