The steamship Deutschland and the steamship Munargo collided, on November 17, 1933, in New York Harbor near the Statue of Liberty. The three libels and a cross-libel here considered were filed for damages due to this collision — to each vessel, to cargo, and to loss of personal effects by the chief steward of the steamship Munargo.
